Frequently Asked Questions

What is inclusive music education (musicalização inclusiva)?

Inclusive music education is a personalised, adapted approach to teaching music — piano and early childhood musicalização — designed to meet the needs of children with disabilities, sensory differences, or neurodivergence. Activities, pace, and communication are all adapted to each child, so that every student can participate, express themselves, and enjoy learning music.

Which children can benefit from inclusive music lessons?

I welcome children with autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, ADHD, and other neurodivergent profiles, as well as any child who benefits from a slower pace, extra patience, or a more flexible teaching style.

What experience do you have teaching children with disabilities?

I have specialised experience teaching neurodivergent children and children with disabilities as part of my 14+ years in music education, including more than 3 years teaching inclusive musicalização and piano here in Dublin. I take an individualised approach, adapting each lesson to the child's needs, communication style, and interests.

How are lessons adapted for each child?

Every lesson is personalised. Depending on the child, I may use visual supports, repetition, movement, sensory-friendly instruments, or a slower pace. I work closely with parents to understand what helps their child feel comfortable and engaged.

Are inclusive music lessons one-on-one or group lessons?

Inclusive lessons are generally one-on-one, so I can give each child my full attention and adapt the lesson in real time. This allows for a calm, unhurried, and supportive learning environment.

Do you offer a free trial lesson?

Yes. I offer a free trial lesson so you and your child can meet me, experience my teaching style, and see if it's a good fit — with no pressure to continue.

Where do inclusive music lessons take place?

Lessons take place in Dublin, Ireland, either at my studio or online via video call, depending on what works best for your family and your child's needs.

How do I book an inclusive music lesson?

You can get in touch through the Contact page or message me directly on WhatsApp using the Contact Me button. I'm happy to chat beforehand about your child's needs before booking a first lesson.
