What an adapted lesson looks like
Every child deserves the chance to experience music in a way that feels right to them. In practice that means the activities, the pace, and the way I communicate all change from child to child.
Depending on the student I might use visual supports, heavy repetition, movement between activities, sensory-friendly instruments, or simply a much slower pace with longer pauses. I work closely with parents, because they already know what helps.
Lessons are one-to-one. That lets me give the child full attention and change direction mid-lesson when something is not landing, in a calm and unhurried room.
Small adjustments, real progress
Shorter activities, clear routines, and plenty of repetition where it helps — the plan bends around the student, not the other way around.

What is inclusive music education?
A personalised, adapted approach to teaching piano and early childhood music, designed around children with disabilities, sensory differences, or neurodivergence, so that every student can take part and enjoy it.
What experience do you have?
Specialised training in neurodiversity plus several years of practice teaching inclusive music and piano in Dublin, as part of fourteen years in music education overall.
Are these lessons one-to-one or in groups?
One-to-one, so the lesson can be adapted in real time and the room stays calm.
Where do they take place?
At your home in Dublin (depending on distance) or online by video call, depending on what works for your family and your child.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, and there is no pressure to continue afterwards. We can also talk beforehand about your child's needs.
Can lessons be in Portuguese?
Yes, fully in Portuguese or bilingual, whichever helps your child feel most at ease.
