Trained as a pianist. Teaching piano in Dublin.

Fourteen years of teaching, three of them in Dublin, built on a classical conservatory training and a degree in music education from the University of São Paulo.

The short version

From Ribeirão Preto to Dublin

I grew up in Ribeirão Preto, in the state of São Paulo. I started piano at nine, entered a conservatory at twelve, and graduated in Classical Piano from the Villa-Lobos Conservatory at seventeen.

In 2013 I was accepted into the piano class of Professor Dr Fátima Corvisier at the University of São Paulo, and finished my research project there with top marks in 2019.

My first professional work was as a rehearsal pianist for early music classes. That is where teaching took over. Since then I have worked in social projects as a music teacher and choir conductor, and taken further training so I could support neurodivergent children properly rather than approximately.

I have lived in Ireland for the last three years, teaching private piano and early childhood music in Dublin, in English or in Portuguese.

Why it is never only about the notes

A lesson has to fit the person sitting at the instrument. Some students want repertoire and want it fast. Some need twenty minutes of movement before they can sit still. Some are three years old and learning what a steady pulse feels like in their body.

What holds all of that together is attention: noticing what is working, saying so, and adjusting the next lesson accordingly.
